Hottest Matchups Following NFL Schedule Release
Trend Report
Presented by
The NFL’s 32 teams just released their schedules for the 2025 regular season, and even with four months to go until the defending champion Eagles and Cowboys kick off Week 1, anticipation is building.
After an exciting draft, several teams have renewed hope: The Titans got their next franchise quarterback in No. 1 pick Cam Ward; the Jaguars nabbed Travis Hunter, the league’s first two-way player since Deion Sanders; and the Giants added the draft’s best pass-rusher Abdul Carter. Meanwhile, perennial contenders like the Chiefs, Bills, and Ravens look to bounce back and win the next Lombardi Trophy.
According to data from TickPick, a leading North American ticket marketplace, all of that early buzz is creating a ton of action, as fans look to pinpoint the best matchups for their favorite teams. In this week’s Trend Report, Front Office Sports takes you through the biggest ticketing storylines, from the influence of the Packers to the franchise that saw the biggest increase in average purchase price.
The Price of the New Season
In many ways, the 2024 NFL season was a banner campaign, as all the stars came out. Jalen Hurts won Super Bowl MVP in the Eagles’ victory over the Chiefs. Running back Saquon Barkley, the Offensive Player of the Year, led the league in rushing in his first year in green. Bills superstar Josh Allen won regular-season MVP. Jayden Daniels revived the Commanders en route to Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
But the upcoming season has already taken a major leap: According to TickPick, the average purchase price in 2025 across the league is 25% more expensive than a season ago.

The Hottest Tickets of the Year
The Packers are one of the most storied franchises in all of sports, with a diehard fan base that consistently shows up and shows out—and this year is no different. Among the 10 most-expensive games of the season by average purchase price, Green Bay is playing in six of them, including a Thanksgiving matchup in Detroit that currently ranks as the season’s fourth-most expensive.
Behind the Packers, the Eagles and the Cowboys each feature in three of the hottest tickets of the season. Here’s a look at the full list:

The Priciest Teams of the Year
The Packers are not the most expensive team to see, however. That title belongs to the Lions, their NFC North rival, who lead the league in average purchase price for the 2025 season.
Fans of the Browns, who just came off a 3–14 season, are apparently not convinced of a turnaround in 2025. Cleveland occupies the bottom spot for average purchase price.

The Movers and the Shakers
The Bills were eliminated from the playoffs by the Chiefs for the fourth time in five years, as they continue to seek their first Super Bowl appearance since the 1993 season. But Buffalo, one of the most exciting offenses in the league with a newly minted MVP, made the biggest year-over-year jump in average purchase price of any team.
On the flip side, Colorado’s two stud prospects—Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter—have not moved the needle in the ticket marketplace for the Browns and Jaguars, who saw the largest and fourth-largest declines in average purchase price, respectively.
